In the end, the bar was set at 2.04 meters: Ukrainian Yaroslava Mahuchikh set a new meeting record at the 20th edition of the Cottbus Springer-Meeting. On the men's side, the pole vault competition ended early in the season with a height of 5.65 meters. The victory was shared by Latvian Valters Kreiss and Belgian Ben Broeders.
