The Jump-Meeting Cottbus ranks among the world’s top 7

In the 2026 ranking published by World Athletics, the Jump-Meeting Cottbus once again ranked seventh among the world’s specialist indoor meetings. There is no clearer indication of the quality of the event. The five best individual performances by athletes have the greatest influence on the ranking, accounting for 70 percent of the total score.

Another 15 percent is determined by the number of athletes ranked among the world’s top 100 who compete at the meeting. Ten percent is based on the number of disciplines contested — a category in which the Jump-Meeting Cottbus naturally scores relatively few points. A further five percent is awarded if a world record, meeting record or national record is set.

In 2026, the Jump-Meeting Cottbus was part of World Athletics’ Continental Tour Bronze — the fourth-highest category after the Diamond League and the Gold and Silver levels of the Continental Tour. Given this result, it was only logical that the organizers set their sights on promotion to the Silver category for 2027 — and have now received confirmation that this promotion has been approved.

Among specialist meetings — events featuring only selected disciplines — the Jump-Meeting Cottbus has remained among the world’s top 10 for many years. The positive comments from many athletes further confirm the high quality of both the event and the support provided to athletes.
